Second Partial Rejected

I just got a second email rejecting my partial submission. They were “intrigued by the premise” and definitely thought “it has appeal in today’s market” but it just didn’t feel different enough for them and they were concerned that it would “get lost” in the market.

I can see their point. My book is written in the same style as most of the other urban fantasies I have read. Books that jump out to me are ones that are different and new. I’ll just have to keep on trying!

I’ve definitely never read a book that combined vampires/werewolves AND aliens! I think that’s pretty different. Maybe the agent just didn’t get to that point. 🙂
